I'm going to hunt down the person who produced this radio commercial and the John Williams wanna be who made the insane "SWEEPING GRIPPING MUSIC" for Law and Order they're using in the background and insert needles under their finger and toe nails.
I think I'm the only person in america who isn't OHMYGOD in love with Law and Order and its three billion spinoffs. Maybe I am just a soulless fuck who cannot possibly understand the deep and important complexities of dramatized "ripped from the headlines" John Grisham inspired tv.
In fact, that's probably it.

Bebe Neworth speaking stridently, the obnoxious music, the "IN HIS LAST PERFORMANCE" line about Jerry Orbach... I guess it's better than the one I heard the other day that had a quote from him saying some goofy ass pop-culture-y thing. I guess it's from the show. I guess having an older man say something "slangy" passes for creative writing.

I dunno.. maybe I'm missing the fucking GENIUS of the whole thing.

Is that the one with Ice T or the one with Vincent "No really, I'm an actor, can't you see me AAACTING" Donofrio ?

I really don't have much of an opinion of the show(s), it's the damned commercials that are making me sort of stabby.

Ice T is (was, i think he left) 'extra rapey'.

Donofrio is 'clearly autistic main character'.

i liked law and order a million years ago, it was a nice solid cop/court drama. but i think that was like, 10 years ago, and there weren't any L&O: MeterMaid spinoffs. I haven't watched it in years.

ok, and i do like Mr. Orbach, even though NOBODY puts Baby in the corner!

that movie has always squicked me out. so .. guuuhh..

I think law and order might be something you had to be in on the ground floor with. Like Buffy or Xena... but uh... very different.

I have a problem with court drama things in recent years just becuase there are so damned many of them. Not everything can be Hill Street Blues. Just like that spate of hospital shows that all wanted to be St. Elsewhere.

of course... I have a problem with most movies and tv shows in general so popular media really isn't something I should talk about ever.

i figured i'm a great person to talk about it, since i watch one movie a year and animal planet.

i figure if i can beat my jones for really crappy crime drame (CSI-you whores), i can be uppity about anything and everything.

Make sure to play SWEEPING GRIPPING MUSIC in the background while doing the thing with the needles. (Was there any background music during that part in "Bound" where they were doing the thing with the wire cutters?)
