So I didn't read live journal for several days. I got very busy very very quickly and found sort of out of the blue that I needed to get things done *immediately*.
I'll be completely done with those things tomorrow and then I get to do laundry and pack for a trip to Florida to see Karl's parents for a few days.

In the time away from LJ I have to say that reading just the "people I give a shit about" filter is awesome for the most part. The other parts make me question where the line is between "old friend" and "someone I used to know".

Not great, but not all that bad either.

I've been reading the Misfit Library: Volume 1. One of the stories actually put me in a time warp today while I was standing out in the sun playing anchor for the dog. I was out there maybe 10 minutes. It felt more like an hour. I like that.

Excellent. We like them good reviews. Dare I ask which story it was?

"The Other Lottery" by John Carnahan. I was trying to read in order (because I'm an orderly kinda gal), but Pussyarse took too much concentration that I didn't have the other day so I skipped ahead.

I am truly and deeply offended that you read out of sequence.

I'm actually tempted to steal this:

"standing out in the sun, playing anchor for the dog"

as a title for my next story.

I am nothing if not someone who encourages theft.
