I used to say that I would be an adult once I bought something that came with one of those huge yellow energy stickers. A refrigerator... a freezer.. uuh.. some other large appliance.

Karl is currently purchasing a lawn mower.

I don't really know where that ranks.

Well, that's easy. Does it have a sticker? If not, you're fine.

No sticker. But there are a LOT of arcane "international symbol" sort of warnings all over the box. So possibly hazardous... but not to my enduring childhood.

HAH! It's actually a push mower (the yard isn't that damned big). So.. I guess I'm happy about that.

If it's not big enough to feature the international symbol for Don't Touch The Driveshaft, It'll Grab you and Wrap You Around Itself At Least Seven Times, it's just... a mower.

As Freud said, sometimes a lawnmower is just a lawnmower...

awww... but there's a symbol that I originally took as "pulling the start cord will lead to books". But I think it's supposed to be telling you to read the manual.
