I used to read Goats all the time.
Sometime last year I just stopped. It wasn't funny anymore and there really isn't a point in reading a comic strip everyday if it isn't bringing the funny.
So, sitting here I decided to go back and pick up the thread and get current. If I still hate it, then I will still not-read it.
I have always (since I knew about it) been a member of the goats-fans mailing list (several years old) and still post there. I know mjfgates, subbes, luvrhino, punkalicia, albertoromero, robonun, wendigo and frobisher from that forum (and have actually had face time with luvrhino, punkalicia, wendigo and frobisher).

Anyway, I went back and just randomly picked a spot I knew was further back than where I'd stopped and just happened upon a strip that I remember cracking me up the first time and it succeeded in cracking me up again.
"Don't ask me, lady. I live in beer"

Which makes no sense if you don't know where Fish came from, how his character comes across, and why he's in the beer in the first place.
but it sure made *me* laugh.
And that's what counts.

Shut Your Noise Tube!

I'm listening to Karl's stream (the lo-fi of course)

And I think it knows I'm listening. It quickly went from really ambient, light, airy stuff to crunchy goodness.

Seannie "B' Meets Flappa 'J' - Suga Bullit and now Joystick with House Step. Which is kinda housey... kinda not... very very non-organic noises. heheheh I used the word "organic" . Next I have to say "seminal" somewhere, right?

I've decided that it doesn't really matter what the music is as long as it has that super deep, nearly detuned bass and the crunchy beats I like it.
Well, there are exceptions, I'm sure.
And this music has the bad side effect of making me really really want those $200 headphones I was looking at, as mine are ancient, abused and they can't really deal with the super low bass without distorting a little.

Oh yeah.. his server loves me.
It's now gone into Finitribe with Forevergreen (vocal edit) and now Underworld with Two Months Off (and now I have to write down things I like becuase this is very very fucking cool)

The bad thing is, I see the high stream is playing front242 and I waaaaaaaaaaant it. Of course, I want all Karl's music.
Well... most of it.
I can do without the Sarah M. ::nods::

oooooooh lawdy, doncha spoof my mack adresses!

It's good listening to geek talk and having no clue what they're talking about. I mean .. yeah .. I get the hacking the wireless thing... but the actual terms..woohoo. Much silliness.

Wish I'd been around last night. I definitely would have called in on this show. I dunno what I would have said... but I'd have thought of something. Maybe just point out that because a large segment of the population isn't prepared to use wireless doesn't make it evil. It just means that people need to learn more. There was a point in time not too long ago when most people weren't equipped to protect themselves when using a usual dial up connection.

Paranoia is okey dokey and all. But the idea that someone would target a private individual for hacking (someone who isn't a script kiddie who's just scanning ports randomly.. and hopefully if you're running wireless, you've got a firewall that can deal with that) is absurd.
Unless you've pissed off some hackers who just want to piss you off or get retribution.

I dunno.
You geeky people tell me how wrong I am.
