(no subject)

More than people who believe anything they read/hear I'm baffled by people who only believe what already fits into their preconceived idea of how the world works. I mean, you have to understand the world in your own terms and those terms are shaped by your life experience. If you've only had one set of experiences throughout your life you're a lot more likely to believe certain things.

But there comes a point in time where intelligent people learn to discern blatant propaganda from something that might actually be true. More than the obvious annoyance with right wing freaks who think Rush is Right and Ann Coulter isn't just Bill O'Reilly with a Cunt (which they'd be fine with too), it kills me when "liberal" types fall into the same dumb headed "believe anything" parroting bullshit.

I don't like being associated with the "capital 'L'" liberals very often because they embarrass me. Their willingness to play straight guy to anything and everything damning that's published anywhere paints them with the same brush as the most repugnant of the far right. Way to be a ditto head, moron.

You read it on one of your blogs or one of more left leaning papers and it's gospel. See it on a right-wing blog or Fox news and it's definitely bullshit that anyone is a MORON to believe.

I blame the media partially for being so easily swayed by their corporate purse-string holders. But I blame the people perpetuating this bullshit even more for being dumb enough to be part of this cycle of stupidity.

I'm sick of seeing dumb privileged white people fight other dumb privileged white people.
