I keep forgetting to do this.

You assume that was my IP. Posting of any IP is wrong. That was not a flame, I see quite entertaining parody there. You assume. assume. assume. I am insulted.

I do not associate with those who post IP's. I do not associate with those who assume with no evidence. I do not associate with dumbasses.

posting of IPs is not wrong when you are confronted with a message letting you know that I'm logging them if you post anonymously.
Your IP is public.
It is always public.
If you're that upset about it, get a provider that does not give you a static IP.
I hear AOL has a *nifty* privacy policy...

But it *is* wrong! It's bad! And wicked! and evil! Why, I bet Richard Stallman is spinning in his grave at the very thought.

Well, actually, if there's a notice telling people that their IPs will be logged, and you haven't promised not to do any particular thing with said IPs, you're entirely morally justified in doing so. Figuring out who posted that is the whole *point* behind logging the addresses, isn't it?

exactly. DESPITE the fact that I missed a close on the blockquote and therefore it didn't appear.

Fixed it now though.

I'm not a fan of the whole IP posting thing.. but if you're an ass to me in my journal after going anonymous to do so, you can suck it.
