Ever have some lil piece of fiction completely piss you off and degrade your sense of goodness just because of its perfection?
How fucking GOOD it is?
How its sense of all the right things, the characters' reactions, the emotional voice... all of it.... How it just comes together and you know that nothing in your life comes together like that especially when you've been in similar situations and it just PISSES YOU THE HELL OFF that you have this... this CRAP shoved into your face and are shown just what your life isn't?
Yeah, well, it was a crappy comic anyway and a predictable story line.

Re: ????
A friend's creation.
He's been published in Flowers on the Razorwire, but in little else.
This is his new thing and it's good, as far as fantastical things go, but it's also just so... predictable.
He's trying for Neil Gaiman and he's ending up with Michael Morcock and it's just really.... sad.

Re: ????
That sucks. I like the Sandman a lot. Isn't Mr. Morcock the guy who writes all of those stories about some immortal guy with a silver hand or something? He also has a name that makes me titter like a school girl. The word titmouse has the much the same effect on my inner school girl as well. Not that I was ever a school girl I just carry one around in my pancreas for good luck like a rabbit's foot. Except you have to feed the school girl more often than a rabbit's foot and she doesn't smell like a taxidermists office. The only down side is this wierd sticker fetish that I have aquired ever since I incorporated the school girl into my pancreas. Her name is Nancy. She says hello.
