They've named it.
"our coverage of Winter Blast 2002 continues. Let's go to Andy watching people getting stuck in the snow in Suffolk..."

I'm tired of Virginia.

I don't know about the logo, but it's just their usual 'weather alert' music.
Sort of a king's trumpeter's blast.

"an upper level low that will roll through south carolina.. and then roll through the hatteras area of north carolina and then roll out to sea. And this other front by sunday could effect us with some rain that'll ROOOOLL on in.."

it's his favorite word.
But at least it's Don Slater and not Jim Lawrence.

We call him "blinky"

Re:
The only one I really can't stand is that reporter Mary Kaye something or other. Evil whore. Something about her really makes me want to track her down and set her on fire.

Mary Kaye is a lush, I think.
They always stick her out in the weather whenever there's any sort of weather phenomena going on.
She just... *looks* drunk all the time.

Here in Texas it has been given the moniker "Arctic Assult". I'm glad we've reached a point where our weather conditions are given names that sound like they belong on the label on a bottle of "Smirnoff Ice".

Apparently to our weathermen: "Arctic Assult" = 30 degree temperatures and slightly cloudy skys.

Here it's being compared to "The Blizzard of 80" when the interstates were shut down for 4 days and we got 18 inches of snow.

Thank god there isn't a graphic for it yet.

It's just as well you're still in Virginia, 'cos it might not be safe to do that once you're within a hundred miles of here.
