My head actually *really* *hurts* from seeing this chick's user icon
and this chick's when I went and looked at the bullshit groups the first chick was in.
GUH.

But I did discover that there is a support LJ for Christians with Mental disorders.
And that is its own reward.

so christ is *for* illness?
That first chick's journal uses the rapid flash thing as her wallpaper. And she has 71 people on her "friend of" list. I'm assuming that they read her on their own friends page.

Damn you. Why'd you show that to me? Lord help me, but i have the sinful temptation to go there and quote the Bible at them:

And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
Mark 16:15-18

Then i'll ask to lay hands on their boobies in order to cast out those devils.

Everyone knows that the devils like to congregate at the boobies.

/me wastes two minutes of his life reading this incredibly banal chick's lj

71 people read this crap?

If somebody were to drown this girl... or maybe just kidnap her and keep her as a sex slave, someplace with no 'net connection... just think of the amount of productive time that would be added to the world.

Re: so christ is *for* illness?
No no no keep her as a sex slave somewhere with a net connection, people would tune in to read:

So today I was *gag* *koff* *slurp* reading the scrip *owwww* tures and *no not all 3 of you again - no please I'm already full of *gag* koff* *snurgle* the lord said *not in there noooooo* unto the heathen...

see, I am surprised you didn't think of it first.

Plus you could get sponsorship from some Marilyn Manson, he'd do it just to boost his notoriety and hence his sales.

Re: so christ is *for* illness?
Guh. What the HELL would you be thinking to actually DO that.
it's unreadable, ugly, and, for those prone to seizures or migraines from flashy lights, fucking PAINFUL.

smite her, Ken.

damn, anti-smite-ists
I didn't actually read the damn thing. I couldn't even if i wanted to unless i cut & pasted it into a text editor. All i did was glimpse at her journal and her friends page to determine that she had the pain-inducing wallpaper.

Gates is the one who wasted two minutes of his life reading it...probably lowering his lifespan by about two years in the process.

smite her, Ken.

Sadly, LJ's TOS has an anti-smite policy.

anuses, ken's
No, i'm anally correct here.

Gates is the one who said he "two minutes of his life reading this incredibly banal chick's lj" right above.

But no, i'm not feeling okay since it feels like the bear that was in subbes's throat a few days ago has left her throat and entered mine. Hopefully, it's not diseased.

Re: so christ is *for* illness?
I used to have epilepsy, but I was one of the lucky ones for whom it just goes away with age. However, I can still be triggered to have seizures by fainting, strobe lights, etc. While I was looking at her page, I somewhat felt a seizure coming on and I had to close my web browser. What the hell was that girl thinking?!

Re: so christ is *for* illness?
When I first started getting migraines I got them *constantly* and the first one was triggered by a movie (which sometimes still happens, but since a lot of movie theatres have switched over to digital projectors it doesn't happen as much), "Silence of the Lambs."
It was utterly bizzare leaving the movie and getting my first aura. I got migraines every day or every other day for the next month. Having to go to the school nurse in the middle of a migraine and trying to explain the aura and having her shine a freaking light in my eyes... heh.. yeah ...
I'm sure they just thought I was trying to avoid some class and faking a bunch of crap so I could lay in the nurse's office.
It wasn't until much later that I figured out that strobes sometimes trigger migraines for me.

You know.. I don't know if there's been much research into it.. but I have this feeling that epilepsy and migraines (actual migraines, not the dummies who think of every bad headache as a migraine) are related. My aunt has epilepsy that has slacked off as she's gotten older, but when she was a child she had seizures (either grand or petit mal) several times a week. And her mother, my mother, my sister and I all get migraines to varying degrees of severity.

I .. I'm rambling.
Suffice it to say, that if just her user icon made my head throb in a migrainey fashion, I can't imagine what it did to people susceptible to strobe induced epilepsy.
She's probably *proud* of it.

You mean they're admitting that christianity is a mental disorder?
