I want to start a campaign to get everyone to stop using page fading.
Maybe I can start a disinfo thing telling everyone that it causes cancer.
To me, page fades are like flashing text. (which for some reason I can't get to work.... which is not a bad thing)

See.. this is where all my ideologies crash.
Yes, I think that some webstandards are important when it comes to useability and function.
But stuff like "compliance with standards" is just a scary line to me.

If you're looking at standards as something dictatorial, I can certainly understand that.

The kind of standards that I'm talking about, however, are agreed standards of communication.

A web browser should be a web browser. Not a something-that-I-can't-use-to-read-your-page-due-to-
[insert evil browser specific thingie here]-that-you-use.
