GRAR. Two journals have what I want to do with the friends page, but I can't figure out what the hell I need to grab to put friends view pictures in the disjointed style.
I mean .. I know what they did, but I don't know how to code it and .. ya know.... I need to just stop and go learn CSS.

Actually, yes, you might.
This is the link to the discussion in LJ style.

If you look at the journal of the girl asking the question, she's gotten the disjointed style to force pictures into the "current" area of the friends view, as did the other girl who asked.

I just can't figure out how the hell do make that code force on mine.

And I'm wondering if I should really just be creating this style as a "new" style in order to do this.

So yeah. Any help would of COURSE be appreciated.

I didn't realize this was a public style.... and here I thought you were much more l337 than I ever realized.
:-)

This is probably no help at all, but here's the current info box from their friends list.... I tried to highlight all the variables you'll need to look out for. You have full permission to kick me in the shins if this isn't helpful.
<table class="currbox">
<tr>
<td>

<center>
<a href="<B>users URL</B>">
<img height="100" border="0" src="<B>users picture</B>" width="100"></a>
<br>
<a href="<B>users URL</B>"><B>user name</B></a>
</center>

<br>

<div><span style="font-weight:bold">mood:</span>
<img height="40" src="mood icon" width="40" align="absmiddle" vspace="1"></div>
</td>
</tr>

I got that by opening the HTML source of the page and manually dissecting what I hope is a useful part out of the page.
It'll be a bummer if I got the gall bladder of code..... I was looking for something more of a left lung.

Is it Friday yet???

It would have looked better if I did it right:
<table class="currbox">
<tr>
<td>

<center>
<a href="users URL">
<img height="100" border="0" src="users picture" width="100"></a>
<br>
<a href="users URL">user name</a>
</center>

<br>

<div><span style="font-weight:bold">mood:</span>
<img height="40" src="mood icon" width="40" align="absmiddle" vspace="1"></div>
</td>
</tr>
</table>

That works after I create my own style using the disjointed base and place that code in the currents area.... BUT...
I can't get it to grab the urls for the friends stuff.
So I get broken picture links and "user" as the name under everyone's pic. hehehe

I might figure it out someday... thank you for the help though

I don't know it off the top of my head, but everything has its own unique identity surrounded by percents..... %%item%% for example. That's what has to go in the variables.... check the documentation that's included in the style setup to find out just what to put in there.

When you said you wanted to play with your style, I sent you two CSS books. They should arrive any day now.
