Moooosica

It's been a very musical day for me today.
Really.
I'm never going to leave just because I don't think I can stand going back to the silence....

Thing I never knew existed : Disco Star Wars.

Thing I never expected Karl to own : Disco Star Wars.

Thing I never expected Karl to offer to spin for my enjoyment : Disco Star Wars.

*lovely*

Well, star wars did come out in 1977, so I guess the connection would have to be made eventually. Did you know there was a Star Wars Christmas Special?

I actually *knew* about the christmas special.

Yeah, I figured there might be something vaguely ... 70s .. out there having to do with it... but a whole record of the music of star wars remixed to disco.

I'm stunned and overjoyed at the same time.

Suuuuuure. Next thing you're gonna be telling us is "Oh my god! I just heard my first William Shatner album!". Science Fiction + music = not good.

Hehe.. I heard Shatner ages ago.
And you have to love it.. becuase he doesn't really sing.. it's more like spoken word with lounge music.
Very fucking weird stuff man

You haven't lived until you have heard Shatner's version of "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds". Just spectacular.

Why did you have to remind me of this? I saw it when it came out... even at age ten, I could tell that it stunk to high heaven. I had mercifully forgotten it, except for a vague dread of Wookiees, but now you've brought the recollection back full force.

Ohhhh, it was bad. I mean, BAD. The sort of bad that... arrgh. Words fail me. GOD it sucked.

How bad could it have been? Worse than "Titanic II: Back to the bottom"?
