heh. Pookie is so militant about breastfeeding that she apparently breastfed a dog (!?!?) and was a wet nurse to her own sister.

oh wow.
See, there is a little article in this book I have called "An Underground Education" by Ricard Zacks about how it was once upon a time advocated the women breastfeed puppies or pigs (visions of Tori) before or during the time they breastfeed their own children to help toughen the nipples and facilitate flow...
but uhm.. I thought that died out along with anti-masturbatory devices and the idea that bathing invited disease...

very freaky

Nods, feeding the puppy was quite.. icky, but I think I feel worse for her poor sister. If I ever found out I had my sisters tit in my mouth I'd gargle bleach. Well.. then again maybe I don't feel bad for the sister. She apparently was breastfed until she was 5. Some comedian said it best, when your children start asking you to wear certain outfits.. it's time to put the boob away.

Link! Link!

And, did she really manage to misspell "hemorrhagic"?

hehe.. it shouldnt be hard to find that link, Gates.

but..but..but... that would be WOOOOOOOOOORK! You don't actually expect me to do any work, do you?

Well get to it, bubbelah.

That has to be a hoax. Militant breastfeeding...what does that mean? She breastfeeds her kids until they graduate highschool?

Extremists on both sides of the fence suck.

Just means she's very FERVENT about mothers breastfeeding.
She's also very very pro-choice, to the point where she has no problem traipsing into people's journals and unleashing "baby killer" tirades at them.
And she's pregnant with her 5th child!
Isn't it great when the *good* ones reproduce?

(kill me)

I'm just a stranger jumping in here, but I'd like to thank you for showing me the most frightening block of text I've ever seen... makes me want to add "abortions, caesarian sections, condoms, diaphragms, epidurals, hope rhythm and prayer, spermicides, sponges, the pill" to my interests.
Jul. 12th, 2002 10:11 am (UTC)
Really, that sounds a whole lot more "pro-overpopulation" than "pro-choice".

as a lefty-sorta mama, i am all for breast-feeding, lord knows. but i gotta tell you, some of the militant la leche people are absolutely from hell. to make a long story short, my BC and i had trouble breast feeding, in spite of seeing a consultant. the militant chicks were exceptionally pissed when i started giving my kid formula (she was losing weight, fer chrissakes). i think they would have rather she had starved rather than had formula. that, in a nutshell, was my short and eventful experience with militant breastfeeders.

fuck 'em all, i say.

oh. and another thing. they are also those weird-ass homeschooling moms, to boot. usually christian right folks. i see some of them meet at the playground near my friend's house. they always have one of their 20 kids in baby slings. their kids are scary, they are scary. i steer my kid away from their kids. no lie.

ok, i'll really shut up now. lord, i am a foul mouthed one today ;-)
