Ever have the urge to staple your hair?
I used to wrap chunks of hair in pipecleaners for lil ... multicolored bendable dredlockish things...
I've also used just plain silver wire for weird lil pony tail holders and interesting weave things (when I was much more into the complex macrame crap and used to regularly make 7 strand flat braids in my hair... I don't think I even remember how to do those without a reference book)

But I wonder how it would be with staples?
They'd be a bitch to get out, I think.

Actually, I frequently have the urge to staple everything.

I get that with sharpies. I want to leave lil scribbles on everything.
I only get the stapling everything urge when it comes to staple guns.. especially the ones that take the nasy 3/4 inch spiked staples.
Juuuust long enough to hurt you, not long enough to puncture any actual organs.

compulsive office supply use... I think it's probably a lot more pervasive than most people realize.

I was curling and uncurling a rubber band while reading this. I do that a lot. I'm probably more fidgety than compulsive, though.

That would disturb me in *so* many ways.

What, you think I'm actually going to bother to register for this crap?

Re: bwahaha!
Why not? I'm sure the rest of the g-f and g-tc lists would add you to their friends lists, make you feel loved...
It could be horribly emotionally gratifying for you.

::shrug::

You get the benefit of the doubt that you're actually jon, goats jon, because your IP traces to NY. (and gets blocked before a specific place.. just so ya don't think I'm invading your privacy)

You could try e-mailing jon@goats.com to either confirm or warn him that he has an impostor
Based on the conversations Jon and i have had, i think this most likely is him.

FYI, the comic strip's website is at http://216.132.181.251, though i don't know how that correlates to his location for his LJ posting.

maybe later I'll be feeling ever vigilant. Right now I'm nervous about people sticking stuff in my eyes.

If that address *does* correlate, then this isn't jon.

I can't say that I have ever had the urge to staple my hair, that is until you said something about it. I have really fine hair so they kept falling out, and the piece I used was a little too small. Surprisingly enough, it didn't hurt at all to take them out. It looked kinda silly though.. see?

Hmmm...
My hair isn't that fine, I think... and I haven't bothered to do the staightening that I usually do so it's kinda frizzybobo...

I think I'm going to have to try this.

Another cool thing.. hehe.. take a REALLY tiny lil piece of hair and twist it as tightly as you can. Then, slide it in between the piece of metal on a bobby pin. Use it like a curler, secure it to your head with another bobby pin.
You can either just do this in several places and be all COOL with your bad ass lil weird hairstyle... or just wait a few minutes (that's all it takes and undo it all.
You'll be left with a super tight lil spiral curl.
If you then brush it, it's the frizziest hair you ever did see. Looks more like crepe wool than hair.

I've always wanted to do it to my whole head, but I've never had the time or patience.
Or enough bobby pins.

(it totally rocks that you did that and took a picture of it too )

The only things I know how to do with my hair is put it in a ponytail or into one of those huge clawlike clipie things. Carrie used to do this braid where she'd make three separate braids about half the length of my hair, then braid all three braids together so at the bottom it just looked like one huge funky braid thingie. (If that makes any sense at all.) Once she did it when my hair was wet, and I literally had an afro when I took it out. It was.. more than mildly amusing.

(Any excuse to use the camera, I am so there.)

Stapling my locks would be an exercise in futility. But, y'know, it wouldn't be as bad as doing it to Ashley-- he generally keeps his in a buzz cut this time of year. Ka-CHUNK...
