I've not listened to this album in YEARS... YEARS I tell you...
My god... now I remember why I was such a freak for Primus.

Gotta avoid those bass players though.. they're bad news.

Yes and no. :)

Members of The Young Ones did a two-part spoof of 80's heavy metal bands featuring a band called "Bad News". Ade Edmondson played "Vim Fuego" on lead guitar and vocals, and I believe Rik Mayall was the bass player, with Nigel Planer and Peter Richardson rounding out the rest of the band.

The scary bit is, they actually started PLAYING (for part 2 - "More Bad News") and released a few records (including a terrifying version of Bohemian Rhapsody which Brian May actually produced - Fuzzbox they ain't).

Believe it or not, this actually aired the year before This Is Spinal Tap hit theaters. Spooooooky, isn't it possums?
