The password on this "1025 hours of aol free! for 45 days!" cd I just got is "tilled-emcee".

I find that funny and I'm not really sure why.

Putting an hour limit on a certain number of days just doens't make sense to me.

45 days = 1080 hours

So they are willing to let you be online fulltime for the first 1025 hours of that, but the last 55 hours of the trial period would break them to give it away? And besides, isn't AOL unlimited hours each month anyway?

Someone over there is playing with their calculator too much.

But they do send out nice DVD replacement cases for free with their shiny coasters, so they aren't all bad.

AOL has different service plans just like any other isp/icp, unlimited monthly is just one of them.
And ya know... I never really thought about the amount of hours that's attached to the free time period. It used to be like.. 100 or 200 or 3 or 4 (and so on) hours per 30 days. I guess they're just upping the time period to 45 (EVEN MORE!) and upping the hourly period (EVEN MORE!) arbitrarily.

Cds make neat art. ::nods::
