When I see posts mentioning "sunset pics" I immediately think of 'sunset gun'... which is a phrase I'm not always sure I know the meaning of.
"It's in the way that I'm cold,
left dealing with a famished soul,
it's all as fake as they come,
burn my eyes like a sunset gun. "

The 303 edit of that song is one of my favorite things ever... but I still am not sure what a sunset gun is.
And I don't think it matters.
I don't really *really* understand most of the phrases in King Mob
King mob as he vents his anger,
throws a brick through the city gates,
backfires on his wordless offspring,
the population disintegrates,
cold stream plus a wash of carbon,
drives his mind like an engine room,
cogs turning like a flawed stage whisper,
king mob sings a lifeless tune. )

But I still really dig it.
heh
I'm very very out of it this morning. I can't seem to fully wake up.. only 4 hours of work today. So I'll be reading most of the day as there's not much else to do. I started reading Lamb, by Christopher Moore. It's been sitting around for a few weeks til I could get to it (and in that time have accidentally stumbled across the journal entries of at *least* 5 people who felt the need to go into detail about the book. Poo on them). I usually don't enjoy Christopher Moore that much. He writes *cute* books and I can appreciate that in a way.. but not in a favorite author list sort of way.
He's a very decent writer... but he's just a little too cutesy sometimes. Case in point: Practical Demon Keeping.
::shrug::

But so far, I like it. It's simplistic so if you know nothing about christian history, it'll make you feel like he really researched the shit outta this and really really knows his stuff (and that you're learning something). Which, hell, for most of the people in the US, they would be, considering the ONE BOOK a year they all average out as reading. But like I said... it's simplisitc. So if you know some things about christian history, have read up on it before... you'll find some big assumptive leaps (bigger than usual) and a lot of filler about the why's of things that.. well...that's a Christopher Moore book.

It's freezing here. I really didn't want to get out of bed because it was just so incrediblly warm and comfortable.
I need to find another jacket. I guess I can always just go in wearing the enormous gaddamned peacoat.
It's literally 4-6 coat sizes too big.

But I'm freezing and it's warm.
guh.
