Me and Karl noticed something that makes us both massively geeky in terrible ways.
We were watching Xena.
Yes.. Xena. It's fun.

Well, in this one particular episode, Karl pointed out to me that the guy playing Cupid (yes.. Cupid.. SHUUUUT UP) was Karl Urban, who also played Eomer in Lord of the Rings: Two Towers (the dude loyal to his King and was out there killing stuff?.. she says trying to be vague for the four people who haven't seen it.
He was also Cesar in another episode and later in the series starts playing Cesar (as in Julius) full time.

The thing is... we're watching it and for some reason, Karl said and I agreed that this one guy HAD to be Faggy Elf Guy.
Turns out the actor's name is Craig Parker and Faggy Elf Guy from Two Towers was actually named Haldir in the movie. .
Haldir was that one elf with the Archers who helps out at one point. He's in the movie quite a little bit actually.
But this guy looked like a much younger, dark haired version of him.
After some looking, it turns out to be the Faggy Elf guy!

Soooo.. Two guys from Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers were actually in the same Xena Episode for 1997. ("For Him the Bell Tolls" (episode # 2.16) 24 February 1997)

My esoterica knows no bounds.

In a completely different vein, it's interesting that the weather in Northern VA goes from blisteringly hot to low 70s over the course of a week and then just... stays there. Apparently it realized it was September and therefore approaching fall. This does not happen further South. Further south you're lucky if it hits 75 for Halloween.

This is my absolute favorite weather.
And it makes me realize.. I've been living here for almost 5 months.
HOW THE FUCK did that happen? No wonder my mom sounds like that when she calls... I promised I'd be back down for a little visit and to pick up the rest of my stuff sometime about 3 weeks after I moved up here.
mano man

  • Oh LJ...

While I rarely have the energy or mental clarity for a fully fleshed out blah blah in the livejournal, I almost always have the energy for picspam…

  • Yep, still feeling old

Well alright, Semagic has changed more than a little since the last time I used it. Heh. This is pretty ridiculous. Because Tamara has chosen to…

  • (no subject)

I think I need to remember to keep the LJ open in the background. Download another client for it and actually run the thing. Maybe that will increase…
