Man... you people and your literal nature.

Maybe I'll just start up with the bizaare non sequitors every day. I'm feeling a little attention starved when it comes to people who aren't Karl and hey, LJ is the *place* for cries for attention, n'estce pas?

Or maybe I'll just read, eh? I feel like a boring thing lately, with nothing to talk about. I used to have more things to say, even when I didn't.

reccomend a movie to me, eh?

Well, if you're going to put it that way, I'd suggest Strange Brew...

Alternately, if you're looking for an in-theater movie, I'm hearing very excellent things about Mystic River.

Not in-theater... how about The In-Laws (the original, obviously)?

Strange Brew we watched a short time ago, I think.. but a reshowing is *always* in order.

Mystic River I actually read a review of not too long ago. I'm not much for the drama these days, since general work stress and crap saps so much of my energy that fun/up/actiony things always feel more appealing, but I may give it a shot at some point (probably when it's out of theatres)

The In-Laws looks... 'wacky'... And while wacky or "madcap" can be fine, I usually like my "wacky" in a more Peter Jackson, Hong Kong cinema sort of direction more than an late seventies/american movie sort of way.
Heh..but it *does* star Peter Faulk.. so maybe that goes on the list.

I just watched The Croupier last night... and I think I have to call it recommendable. Consider yourself recommendated.

Well thank you...

I saw a trailer for that almost a year ago (I think) and thought it looked pretty damned interesting, actually.

"The Station Agent" if you can find it in a theater near you.

I've heard things about that one as well, but not so sure it's anything I'm interested in. It seems pretty ... maxim filled, heartwarming maybe... probably pretty darned predictable in its motions.

Most films that center around someone who's "different" and center around that difference tend to be sort of moral plays on how to be more accepting. Of course, there *are* always exceptions.

I'll probably give it a shot once it's out on dvd.
