After choosing to look at one of my drug communities today where they talk about drugs and the effects and use and so forth I've realized something.
People who regularly do large amounts of synthesized chemical compounds are fucking twits.
Especially when it comes to movies.

Apparently, and this is common enough even among those *not* popping E like tic tacs, I'm just a hateful person, and a *stupid* person for actually enjoying some of the things I've liked. It's simple minded me.

Now, if we were talking about say.... The Fast and The Furious, I might buy the line. But I will indeed resent that I'm just someone who's full of hate because I didn't like that latest Matrix movie.
Apparently, I'm not filled to the tippy top with expansive love like I should be and *that* is why I didn't love the movie.
Couldn't have been the spoon fed, heavy handed symbolism. Couldn't have been the hobbling together of so many mythologies and faith stories that they were *all* muddled in the process.
Couldn't have been the half assed CG, the predictable and trite side stories, the fact that this didn't even have the *feel* to it that made the first movie so interesting in the first place.

I'm just full of hate and that's why I just don't get it.

Hehe... Read the drug communities for their insightful notes on how many morning glory seeds you really need to do anything for you. Don't go reading the journals of the posters.

Now, I like my drugs, and I like them en masse, but god damn. There's a time and a place. I love to get high, go out, have fun. I like to get stoned, stay in, write lots. But christ, I don't preach about it like it was the only way to live, and I sure as hell don't need chemical support to enjoy my daily activities.

There are people who enjoy recreational drugs (and I'm one of them I suppose) and then there are people who compare taking some bizarre japanese synthetic chemical compond with a name that's more digits than letters to some sort of mystical, kabbalistic experience, full of meaningful, highly connective imagery

Now... I know that Salvia Divinorum has been used in shamanistic ceremonies for literally thousands of years, but just because the aztecs felt it got them closer to god does not mean that you chewing on a chunk of the leaves will be the new messiah of Minneapolis.

I'm a big fan of ethnogenic drugs and the more ritualistic uses of most hallucinogens.. I'm just not much of a fan of the fans of such things.

"Only losers are users". Speaking in general terms, of course.

hehe.. actually, I think that's how duder found me in the first place.

I'm just so amused by about 3/4 of the people in envision, not really because of what they post *there* (though some of it is pretty uhm... interesting) but because of what they post in their own journals.

Of course, I enjoy seeking out the strange/bizarre/patently moronic amongst us in lj land... so is it any wonder, really?

duder - lol

Wow - I hadn't heard of that community (but yanno he still found me under certain similar auspices).

to be honest since i began effexorXR i can't seem to enjoy most of the crazier drugs out there. either they don't work at all or I get violently ill. *shruG*
