Sooooo... how the hell do I open a .wps file?

It is apparently a Microsoft Works file, which made me think that Word or Wordpad could handle it... MAI NO!

This has been the strangest file format issue in any study thus far ... even worse than getting back word documents as .pdf , .mim , or as a .jpg Those I could actually open, if not convert. This... uh .. I have no *idea* how to open.

help?

Files with extensions of WPS are of type 'Microsoft Works Word Processor'.

I have a new copy of Works that was bundled with my XP/Dell if you needsie.

and Word 2002 ostensibly should be able to handle it.

Yeah, alicia pointed me to the converter and I found out that, even without the additional download (which for some reason didn't install properly) it will auto install the converter for you... you just need the disk.
Which is around here somewhere.

Chicky misunderstood something I said and ended up resending as text anyway, so it all worked out.
And now I know how to open .wps files...

Just like the mystery of "how the HELL do I open a .mim" from a few days ago, I feel smarter now.
