Every time there is a conversation about jobs/work/new clients I get a little lightheaded. We aren't currently in the middle of anything. We've completed one job (that was supposed to be iterative but we haven't heard about another phase at all), and we're waiting on others. Two big big clients are in the middle of about-to-launch deals. And it looks like right out of the gate we'll be traveling to LA. Unless the local thing comes first. I just know who I've been in conference calls with and it freaks me out and makes me happy at the same time.

Yesterday I made chili for the first time in my life. Well, okay, I did make it once before but it doesn't count because I followed a recipe. And it was awful. So this was what I threw together as I went and it was pretty damned good. And it was made with ground turkey breast (so 99% fat free instead of 93% like the turkey with dark meat)and not a speck of additional fat. Even made cornbread with it.

If there is one thing I could request my mother to make for me and let me watch while she made it it would be beef stew with dumplings. I have this huge craving for dumplings cooked in that stew and no clue where to begin, only very vague recollections of how it was put together. I guess I'll experiment at some point.

I have that horrible Highway Star song stuck in my head. Okay, it's not "horrible". There's just this line in there about his girlfriend that's like.. "I love her... I need her... I seed her". And it grosses me out every time. I'm going to drink it away. That works, right?

yeah, yeah, yeah, what about me?
If i came to DC this month from the 17th to the 20th, would i be able to get any Holly (and Karl) time?

If so, would one day be particularly better than the other? I don't really need to do anything special. Seeing you would be special enough.

As far as we know, yes. I'm assuming we'll get more than a week's notice for travel. I can't guarantee we won't be working, but again - I don't have anything specific lined up. And we both work at home now so we're both really available for stuff. Any day in there is fine, we can work around your schedule. I know you're a busy, busy, bad, bad man, Ken.
